In another step towards increasing their fulfillment capacity, Amazon has announced that they will soon be hiring more than 2,500 workers at their fulfillment centers across the U.S.
The workers will be employed at fulfillment centers in Virginia, Washington, Tennessee, Kansas, and South Carolina. Last year Amazon said that it had hired more than 20,000 full-time workers at U.S. fulfillment centers, with about half of those starting as seasonal labor. Currently, Amazon employs more than 100,000 people nationwide and remains the largest player in the online order fulfillment field.
