We communicate regularly with our direct mail fulfillment clients to coordinate all aspects of the fulfillment chain.  When is the next mail drop?   How big is the mailing list?  What are the expected response rates?  What are the fulfillment expectations?  What are the shipping methods?  etc…

Once we understand the plan, we can coordinate inbounds, pre-package product and prepare staff for pick, pack and ship activities.  The goal is to be able to respond to fluctuating order volumes through coordination and planning.  In addition, many of our direct mail fulfillment clients also offer continuity orders.  These are ‘autoship’ orders that might ship every month after the initial order.  We integrate with order management software providers to seamlessly fulfill these orders in an automated fashion.  Direct mail and direct response TV are exciting sales channels that can reach a large amount of potential customers.  Just make sure the planning is in place!
