Today, we would like to introduce TAGG Logistics’ Distribution manager, Doug Hutchinson. This is the next blog post in our monthly series that showcases the logistics and fulfillment expertise that our management team and staff have in the areas of e-commerce fulfillment, order fulfillment, and transportation.
Meet: Doug Hutchinson, Distribution Center Manager at the Garland, TX fulfillment center.
Doug is the DC manager in TAGG’s newest facility in Garland, Texas. Doug comes to TAGG with experience starting with an education from St Johns River State College in sunny Lakeside, Florida. His experience continues in leadership roles within the grocery and healthcare industries for over 25 years. Doug has two children: a son who is an ICU nurse in Florida and a daughter who attends the University of Texas, Dallas Campus.
When he was younger, Doug had his heart set on becoming a commercial airline pilot but never pursued this dream because he didn’t want to cut his shoulder-length hair. His reasoning? “It was an 80’s thing!”. As to a piece of advice he would give himself, Doug said it’s to “enjoy the little things in life because one day you will look back and realize they were really the big things”. And don’t be surprised if when you visit Doug in his office you find him snacking on Haribo gummy bears; they are his all-time favorite!
